The LUX Belle Mare in Mauritius is one of our favourate properties on the island of Mauritius. Tucked away in lush tropical gardens near the quaint, sleepy village of Belle Mare, this luxury hotel is the flag ship property of the LUX hotel chain. Planet especially like the huge light rooms and the superb family facilities. The hotel is also within a reasonably short walk to a perfect kitesurf beach.
Dressed in soothing whites and vibrant brights, each of the thatch-roofed suites and villas has stunning sea views. And what a view it is: an unspoilt sweep of powder-soft sands, crystalline waters in sparkling shades of beryl blue, coconut palms swaying gently in the breeze – this is one of the the finest beaches in Mauritius.

Activities can be anything from tennis, to luxurious spa treatments or scuba diving, and families will be eternally grateful for the great kids' and teens clubs on resort - with everything from cinema on the beach to cooking lessons.

Open to children aged 3 to 11, PLAY is an exciting place for your young ones to spend their energy. There's a splash pool they can have fun in, as well as great activities in the form of movies, a culinary school and tennis. If they want to chill out then there's also a spacious indoor area with quiet zones, a reading corner, and special lunch and dinner buffets.
Babysitting is also available at extra cost.

JUNIOR SUITE POOL VIEW
Very comfortably located close to the hotel lobby and offering direct access to the swimming pool, Pool Junior suites offer wonderful views of our large multi depth pool, gardens and the lagoon. With all the amenities and comforts of a classy suite on offer; enjoy free high speed Wi - Fi and then settle in for a night with a movie on demand on the IPTV.
ROMANTIC JUNIOR SUITE
Spacious and airy, with terraces overlooking the tropical gardens and the zen pond, each Junior Suite offers the utmost in comfort and style. Kelly Hoppen’s signature palette of neutrals punctuated with accents of zingy colors adds to the inviting ambience. Meant for couples; these suites ensure quiet and tranquil surroundings combined with a sumptuous dash of romance in the air! These suites feature special amenities in the room including the Focal sound system besides all the features of Junior Suites.
BEACH VIEW JUNIOR SUITE
Enjoy a generous sense of space featuring vibrant dashes of colour on neutral base colours in typical Kelly Hoppen style. A super king-size Sleep tight bed promises the ultimate in comfort, while a leisurely sitting area and spacious terrace overlook the gardens, the soft white sands and the turquoise lagoon. Freshen up in the spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, double washbasins and separate toilet with adjoining dressing room.
OCEAN SUITES
Designed by Kelly Hoppen, Ocean suites offer a unique combination of space, luxury, comfort and location at the very best. Each Suite is equipped with a huge Sleep Tight bed, a large bathroom with separate shower, toilet and a large terrace overlooking the Indian ocean. Picture yourself watching the moon rising on the silvery sea as you relax in your large bath! The 48 inch wide LED TV’s; elaborate minibar offerings; high speed Wi-Fi; IPTV with movies on demand are just a few of the special features provided for these rooms.
HONEYMOON SUITES
With Privacy, contemporary design, brightness and comfort as the hallmarks; Honeymoon suite designed by Kelly Hoppen is the place to be in to start a new life together. King-sized Sleep Tight bed; large well designed bathroom, ideal location of the suite and a stunning lighter and brighter feel characterize the suite. The large terrace of the suite is ideal for a romantic breakfast or candle light dinner.
THE LUX* SUITE
The ultimate in elegance and comfort... Sink into a plush sofa, tuck into dinner in the private dining room or sunbathe in absolute privacy on your picturesque rooftop terrace, complete with a solarium. A large terrace gives direct view of the tropical gardens and the zen pond; while a private butler is on hand to see to your every need. A connecting Junior Suite is also available for family and friends.
FAMILY JUNIOR SUITE
Designed in a contemporary style by Kelly Hoppen and especially suited for families on holidays; these interconnecting suites allow the perfect balance of space and togetherness. Fresh colours through furnishings and natural tones of wood create a bright and inviting ambience for the whole family. Each of the interconnecting suites is equipped with Sleep Tight beds, a dressing room and spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, two wash basins, a bath and separate toilet and a 24 hours Room Service facility.
