BALI SUP HOLIDAY OVERVIEW
An Indonesian island located just 3.2km east of Java and east of Lombok offers you incredible culture combined with the regular glassy waves, making Bali one of the most desired SUP holiday destinations. Though not just for the wind and wave lover, but also for people looking for a place to relax into a calm ambiance and be pampered to perfection in the luxurious spas.
Bali is one of our favourite all year destinations for a SUP holiday. The wind is only around for a few months in the year, and even then it is not reccommended as a high wind destination, whereas the glassy waves are there all year. Making Bali the perfect SUP holiday destination for advanced wave riders and novices alike, most of the year the swells regularly reach 12 ft, but there are also many perfect beginner spots with long, and gentle waves.
You could also make a Bali SUP holiday part of a tour around the other Indonesian Islands such as the Gili Islands, Lombok, and many more, check out and example of a SUP holiday tour above. We can tailor make SUP holiday tours specifically for you, visiting as many places as you like, for however long you like, just come to us with a few ideas and we'll do the rest!
BALI SUP SPOTS
Bali Recieves the full force of southern swells from the Atlantic, which is what produces the year round, constant and reliable waves. Due to these world renowned conditions, breaks can become crowded in peak months, but with some local knowledge uncrowded breaks are no problem to find.
Baby Reef
By far the best wave for first timers due to its mellow height and strength. The wave is a long left hander, and predominantly a SUP wave, so you don't have to worry about taking out a surfer.
Blue Reef
A 15 minute cruise out from the shore you will find Blue Reef, the perfect wave for an intermediate, and one of the less crowded breaks on the east coast.
Tanjungs
Often referred to by locals as 'mini pipeline' as it begins to barrel over 4 ft
Canggu
For the serious wave sailor this area is amazing !! A huge beach around 5 km long with many wave spot all the way along ranging from easy small beach break waves to 5m + peeling reef breaks!
