Instruction
Learn to SUP
SUP Holiday.
Ever wanted a watersports holiday packed with fun, fitness benefits, and progression? Want to try something new without the compulsory 6 hours of instruction to be independent? Then a SUP holiday is perfect for you! One of the best things about the sport is it’s so much fun, has all the health benefits of other watersports, yet it is so easy to learn, and can be enjoyed by the whole family.
For first timers, we recommend a combination of flat water and waves. The flat water is for addressing balance issues, paddle technique, and extra activities such as Pilates. The waves because once you have your technique down you will be itching to get riding them.
For those of you who have already paddle boarded before, and are ambitious to master the waves, we would recommend an awesome wave spot with a centre stocking specific wave boards, and a team of good riders and instructors.
If you’re not looking for waves, and are more interested in flat water activities and excursions, we will recommend destinations with beautiful clear water, interesting reefs, and lots of excursion opportunities.
To find out where would be your perfect destination, whether you are travelling alone or with a group of mixed abilities, our team of experienced and incredibly knowledgeable consultants will work with you and put together the perfect holiday.
Multi Sport Holiday
MULTI SPORTS HOLIDAYS
If you like the look of a SUP holiday, but are devoted to your first love, may it be kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving, or golf, then don't worry, you can have your cake and eat it too with one of our multi sport holidays.
Although we like to work with centers who only offer SUP, we do endeavour to also find centres who offer SUP and kitesurfing or windsurfing. However, we're very specific with the centres we work with, and they have to be running both SUP and the other sport at a really high standard, with new equipment, and professional instructors for both sports. We are aware that many centers are dated in terms of SUP and only stock a few boards, using them as a non wind alternative, yet claim to offer SUP. These centers we don't recommend for a SUP holiday or a holiday specifically for SUP and another sport.
If you are interested in combining a holiday, then speak to us on 01273 921001 about the best destination for you, which will offer conditions for all sports, and we can make you an itinerary combining both.
A good example of an itinerary we can offer is for Belle Mare in Mauritius: A super flexible destination where you can SUP, kitesurf, windsurf, dive and play golf as well as a myriad of other activities to suit anyones.
SUP Fitness
SUP Fitness Holiday
SUP is one of the best ways to get a full body workout, and without the gruelling, sweaty, breathless gym session, which has been maximised by professional fitness instructors who have adapted their various exercises to be performed on a SUP board. It is the constant balancing required from the SUP which enhances the results, and builds your concentration. It is also massively more fun, you get incredible views of the ocean left, right and below. When you get too hot just jump in. However I have to say the best part if you’re into yoga, is the shivasana after a yoga session where you can lie on the gently moving board, and have to be careful not to fall asleep!
The lessons
Overall, Yoga and Pilates are probably the most common fitness classes held on SUP’s, but personal trainers have adapted their lessons to be done on a SUP, either 1 on 1 or in group classes. Most classes will focus on core strength as this is what SUP’ing really attacks, even from just paddeling. This is why Yoga and Pilates are ideal as the board increases balance like there is no tomorrow, and the strength built through traditional Yoga and Pilates is maximised immensely.
The fitness part of Sup is perfect for everyone to try, and is great for people who are really into keeping fit and trying out new and interesting methods of exercise. SUP fitness can be part of a kitesurf, windsurf, or SUP holiday, as long as there is an area of flat and sheltered water, a SUP fitness instructor, and a centre stocking big enough boards (you don’t want to be doing yoga on a 9.0 wave board!). We can easily advise you on which destinations are suitable for SUP fitness, but we can also arrange SUP fitness holidays, usually combined with surfing and/or Yoga. These come with instruction every day so you will really benefit from the holiday both physically and mentally. A SUP fitness holiday is perfect for groups of friends, individuals as there will be plenty of other people on the course, couples, weight loss, and beginners looking to radically improve.
Multi Sport Pro Clinics
Multi sport Clinics
We are really excited to now be offering 3 new amazing clinics, specialising in Windsurfing, SUP, and Kitesurfing held in 3 of our favourite destinations, Mauritius, Maui, and Tarifa. To participate in the clinics you should be independent in at least one of the sports, and then it is your choice as to how much you get involved with the others, making it the perfect way to learn a new sport, advance in your first sport, and be on the water regardless what the weather decides to do.
Each destination boasts different events, down winders, and excursions, but all 3 of the sports are held in all 3 destinations. The clinics are run by extremely passionate and motivated professional instructors who will push you to progress, and ensure your will be pulling the moves you want by the end of the week, or just be there to help with whatever you want, the choice is yours. The instructors know each of the destinations like the back of their hand, and will show you how to make the most of your time by taking you on all the best activities, showing you all the best sights, and taking you to the best spots for the sport, it’s like having a local at hand the whole time.
The quality of the training that is given throughout the clinics is so high, that the VDWS International (German windsurf governing body, like RYA) recognises all of the clinics as official Instructor Training courses in order to extend the validation of Trainer Licences.
Programme
A normal day would begin with the option of a Yoga workout on the beach, or an extra hour in bed, followed by a good breakfast with the instructors. After breakfast one instructor will offer windsurfing, another will offer Kitesurfing, and the other will be going Paddle Boarding. After the groups have been on the water for 3 hours it is time for lunch, when everyone is offered another 3 hour session in all 3 sports, giving the option to change, or stick with the same sport. Throughout the day pictures are taken, and videos are made for video analysis to maximise progression, which are reviewed before dinner accompanied by a sundowner.

Family SUP Holidays
FAMILY SUP HOLIDAYS
A Family SUP holiday is a great way for families to spend fun times together, and to introduce kids to surfing waves. SUP (Stand Up Paddling) is a sport accessible to people of all ages and watersport ability.
For obvious reasons we would not recommend a family SUP holiday with young kids to a wavy destination. But places like Belle Mare in Mauritius are perfect for the whole family. Where you will be presented with shallow, flat crystalline waters, and loads of adventurous places to paddle to on your SUP.
For family member who love to keep fit, SUP is renowned for being a great full body workout. Which has been maximised by SUP fitness classes, which range form general fitness to yoga.
A family SUP holiday is open to families with kids as young as 5 years old, as they can sit on their parents board, letting them do all work (this is subject to weight, please check with us before to confirm). Kids as young as the age of 8 are able to paddle their own SUP.
For adults and teenagers, the waves are always a hit. Most of our destinations provide a combination of flat water for the younger family members, and waves for teens and adults.
We also work with many hotels which provide kids clubs, open to kids as young as 3, and up to 16 years of age. However this depends on the hotel, some may ask that an adult accompanies kids under 4, and some may only take kids over 4. It's best to check with us to find out which hotel offers the best suited club for your family. Some of our centres also offer wick kids clubs which introduce the kids to a variety of watersports. Generally the kids have to be over 6 years old due to all the sports involved. Again it's best to check with us to find out about where the best centre may be for kids clubs.
Many of our hotels also offer nanny services for kids too young to join in with kids clubs, or for evenings.
Our top family SUP holiday destinations are:

Cabarete - Dominican Republic
